A11yPals Assistive Technology for Testing and development is a hands on lab where users will be taught how to operate multiple assistive technologies across PC and mobile technologies. By the end of this course learners will be comfortable in understanding how people with different disabilities use their assistive technologies and will also be comfortable using basic features of assistive technologies critical for accessibility testing.

• Discuss how the Accessibility Tree interactions with Assertive technologies.
• What are different types of assistive technologies and why are they used.
• What is the difference between assistive technologies and adaptive strategies.
• What assistive tech is hiding in your operating systems.
• Get hands on with a selection of assistive technologies with instruction from your trainer.
